Intermittent 1017 problem.

So, I follow your Start-up guide step by step and try to log in. 1017. I try about 10 different solutions, ranging from replacing folders with a friend's folders, to extracting the hotfix a few times at various points, to lord knows what else. Eventually, I do something that forces a reinstall.

So again, after reinstalling, I follow your guide to the letter. Try and log on a few times and get 1017. Eventually, I'm able to log on. Too bad it crashes when I try to change zones. Try to log on again, and get nothing but 1017. At this point, I'm out of ideas. I'd really appreciate any help or insight into this matter. Thanks.
 
Right, I was able to get on just now. Then I tried moving to a different zone and it hung for a while then booted me off. Yeah, it boots me off, doesn't crash. Sorry about that. And anyway, trying to log back on, 1017.
