A lot of bards seem to get confused about this, just clarifying it.
Instrument Mastery effects any song that you have the instrument type on for.
Singing Mastery effects any song that you do not have the instrument type on for.
They both add .2/level for a total of .6 each.
So if you're singing a singing song, and have a singing modifier on, such as seraphic voice, kelp sewn cloak etc... It will take your instrument mastery.
And if you're singing a brass song, and don't have a brass modifier on, it will take your singing mastery.
