Install sequence

I ave been playing now for almost two weeks, and am wondering what is going to be necessary for me to be included into any part of this game possible. What I mean is that I downloaded the Trillogy package from the live website, and it is working for me fine currently. I have only visited original Antonica zones, but I want to be prepared for all zones that SoD has to offer. I have all the original CDs up to PoP, just have not gone that route to play here. What all should I install from disks that will be necessary to play here? I have seen other posts asking similar questions, and they have just been told to buy the game. I have the game already, just had stopped playing for quite a while. Thanks for any answeres/help for my question.

No. The ONLY EQLive file you NEED from any other source is eqpatch.exe (or something of that name).
The patcher then downloads EVERY SINGLE FILE for EQ that you do not have the most current version of. If you do not have it at all, then bam, you do not have the most current version, so it downloads it.

(Technically, it was changed recently to work in a slightly different manner than the previous method described above, thus the reason it no longer takes 30 minutes to determine what files to download, but the end result remains the same. Given that I have used the new patcher twice, I do not know the exact method.)

If, for any reason, you needed something, it would be listed on that link you were provided.

And, yes, there is a screaming voice in the back of my head making sounds of disbelief, but I do not see the motive yet. The biggest one is why would you use the downloaded version when you have the CDs?

When I attempted to install from my original EQ disk(Blue box version, 1998, 989 studios/Verant labels) it was giving me some error and wouldnt even connect to the patching servers. I tried installing Kunark/Velious over that, and it still gave the same error. Otherwise I wouldnt have downloaded the trillogy pack.
