Ok, so gave up on previous issue and NOW after uninstall getting new problem.

Titanium Edition being installed to computer giving Data error due to cyclical redundancy check or something like that. Does not have any problems until that last disk (#5).

Ideas? I do not want to purchase a new disk set and then find out the issue is with the puter or OS (Win XP) or some such.
 
I bought the titanium discs also. I've had to reinstall the game for various reasons since I bought it years ago. The thing that bothered me most about the install process was the disc swapping. You can copy the contents of all of the discs to a single DVD (or even your hard drive or USB drive) and the install will be much, much faster.

I have had problems with optical media in the past where the disc gets scratched or damaged and it the install will be corrupted. Copying to new media occasionally gets around this hiccup.

I don't know if this will solve your problem, but it will at least speed up the install process. Hope it helps :)
