Insane graphical issues...

So I just got SoD up and everything recently. For about the first maybe two hours, everything was fine. I made a character, went through the dream tutorial, and made it to my home city. So I log off without really doing anything and the next day after just logging in, I get these crazy graphical issues. I mean seriously, I can't even put it into words. The characters are literally like enlarging, distorting, the bodies are twisting, and the screen keeps moving back and forth without me even touching anything. It has been doing this the past few days and I can't seem to understand what's wrong. Any idea? I'd really like to start playing soon.
 
I had something similar once, like everything was going all blue and warping when I turned certain ways etc. I quit, went to bed, came on the next day, and it was fine. Also no it was not hallucinations. Have you tried restarting the client/your comp, and updating your vid card drivers?

What's your vidcard btw? O/s? and hmmm is your Dx up to date/any probs with it?
 
I'm using two PCI-E eVGA 7800GT 256mb in SLI, both with updated drivers and running on Windows XP Pro.

I'm currently downloading the Dual-Core Optimizer and the Processor Driver. I'll let you know if it helps. All I need to do is download them and reboot, right?
 
No, you'll need to use imagecfg to set eqgame.exe's affinity to one processor. And I'm sure you will experience display issues if you run SoD while SLI is enabled, this client is definitely too old to handle dual-GFX cards, unless I'm mistaken.

it does that too on my laptop :d
i thought it was always kinda funny so i never fixed it :hmph:
 
Seems like just downloading the CPU optimizer fixed the problem. Thanks for the help.
