Inner Prison Dragons and Zone Crashes

Inner prison dragons all start, like taeshlin, as highelf pc models. Once hailed a dragon spawns ontop of them. You either kill the dragon, or you wipe and the dragon poofs back into a HE. They stay like this until hailed again.

However, if any Dragon is triggered in IP, and the zone crashes for any reason, be it server outage, reboots, or random zone disco's, the dragon poofs. Completely. No High Elf. No Dragon. No Loot.

Ontop of this, it appears current GM policy is to NOT respawn any of the encounters for a guild if this occurs.

Guilds will, and have, put in the time to clear the juggernaut which we call IP trash, only to trigger an encounter, have the zone go down, and lose everything.

I was just curious why this was staff policy, and if anything could be done coding wise to prevent the probblem from ever happening in the first place.

Thanks.

Essentially staff policy on this was created because demands on GMs to intervene on raids as soon as the slighest thing went wrong was getting insane, and pretty much unbearable for GMs in raid guilds, so I decided to put a stop to it except in the most critical cases.

I'll change the policy to allow GMs to entirely reset encounters that are supposed to reset on wipe if the zone crashes, hopefully this won't go downhill again.
