Increasing the number of bear for tailoring ?

HI all,

I begun tailoring not too long ago and I'm having a hard time getting bear's pelts for Reinforced Leather Armor. I ve been killing bears in Gfay and heartlands for a while and to get a stack of pelts, you need at least 3 or 4 hours. So multiply by the number of combines you need to do and it becomes days of hunting .

Im not asking to have bears everywhere but doing low levels tradeskills materials should not take days to gather them. I understand that high end materials should be rare and hard to get your hand on but we r not talking about imp hide here.

I also looked on vendors and auctionning to buy them but not too many people sell them, so would it be possible to augment a bit the number of drop please ?

In Gfay by example, you ve got around 10 bears at anytime for at least 60 or 70 bats, increasing hte number of bears could be a good idea

In most of the zones with wandering trash, like gfay in your example, the mobs are all on the same spawn cycle. Eg. You kill a bear and it can repop as a bat.
If you cherry pick the bears, you'll see less and less as they repop as other mobs.

Even though heartland was mentioned, it really isn't a bad place to get bear pelts if you're able to mass slaughter everything. Tracking is pretty useful too.

Hate to say this but I've probably seen hundreds of bear pelts on vendors in newport, athica, heartland, etc in the past week. There are two ways to get them: spend an hour going to each city buying them around 6-7pm game time and 4-5am game time, or pay newbies well to farm or buy them up for you.

I did the bear pelt part of tailoring not so long ago and I had no problem finding pelts, didnt take much time to farm and buy the once needed... So I cant really agree on the topic..

Sad to say, if you are having trouble finding bear pelts, you're gonna be overjoyed when you get to drake and hopper hides.

But heartland has some grizzly bears that drop both regular skins and grizzly bear pelts used for the 20% weight reduction backpacks. If you're high enough, go there and stock up now.

Also, start collecting snake scales now. You'll be glad you did later.
