Incorporate language system

yes i rember that one to it gave you more power up as you became fluent in more langauge took 3 language to get first set of power up when you maxed all of them out wich required spending 300 or so pratic point and pp. it was uber that because some language were never given to any one like elder dragon if any one of SoD would like it right name or max power up shot me a haller and i can check into it as my live chactor is still paid for for a nother 2 months. your hason the warrior

You didn't have to spend an enormous amount of practice points/pp. You could train someone else in a language you knew up to your skill level +1. In other words, if you had 10 in Elder Dragon, you could train someone else up to 11. Then, that person could train you up to 12. Rinse and repeat until you maxed it.

Learning languages on Live was very lame and didnt make much sense. While I know that being around other people speaking the language, you pick it up faster then simply reading a book, I don't think someone just talking to you for a long period of time would have you pick up the language 100%.

I'd rather not conceptualise a new game mechanic, my opinion is that language should be like tradeskills. A variety of ways to skill up, but it is a long way to the top.

A quick way to do it would be to earn points as you spend time in the "home" language for a city. Learn Gnomish in Underhill, for example. Maybe do it so that you have to train at least one point in the language, then each time you /h someone or open up a merchant, you have a chance for a skill up. That way it would be something that happens naturally, as you spend time in a city or a zone.

it would be mad neat but i wouldnt bet on it soon, though its nice when you know someone else who knows the language fairly well, you can acheive that xenophobic they're talking about me effect lol
