Impact of Thunder is a lvl 63 wizard spell that does decent damage, with a stun component and greys out your entire spell bar for 3-5 seconds. (I haven't actually timed it)

My suggestion and/or request is for this spell to be changed to not grey out your entire spell bar, remove the stun component.

In my opinion the stun combination stun/greying out your entire spellbar is only there to get wizards killed. Also, wizards could use a high end MR based pbaoe, to go along with the jyll's line from the 50s for zones like everchill and firegrottos where using fire and cold based magic doesn't work.

So wizards? Devs? what are your thoughts?

Isn't there one at 60? Winds of Gelid?

If I've got correct information the wiz pb combo (with a modified impact of thunder) would already be better than the mage option of scintillation+flamecall. Which is pretty great in the right situations when you really need to throw down the hurt in a hurry, and mana cost is no consideration.

The level 60 option is slow cast, slow recast and also a cold based spell. This isn't exactly what I'm looking for.

What I'm looking for is a magic based option that can be cast in combination with the jyll's line, the next step up, so to speak.

Hmm, that does suck on casting time and recharge. I was mainly looking at damage and it's cost. It could definitely stand to lose half of those

Impact of thunder + any of the Jyll's should be fine if the changes you suggested were made. I'd also suggest halving the casting time and recharge. That way there won't really be any lagtime whatsoever in between castings. You could always load 3, but thats not always an option, and spellslots are precious things.
