iksar monk stats

i was wondering what stat to put my starting points intoto start a new monk......and is a iksar monk better than the human?
 
If I had to do it all over, I'd put all of my stats into charisma. Charisma effects mobs' chance of resisting your spells (procs and clickie items for monks). Not much Charisma on monk gear, but you'll max out STR/STA/DEX/AGI with raid gear.

You would put it all in CHA? I don't think 25 pts of cha would make that big a difference. And tbh, I don't use any of my clickies for dps and I could care less if it gets resisted on pulling. I use the war mask for aggro if I can but not to big a problem if its resisted. As for the procs, most procs have a huge -resist mod to it so they shouldn't have a problem landing after debuffs (malo/tash)

I'd put it into STA because for the longest time i've had a tough time maxing it. Infact, if I switch 1 piece of gear it isn't maxed.
 
Monks get 20 points, not 25. Just an FYI. I would vote STA, but my young monk is nowhere near 65, much less maxed on anything, so, hard to say for me.

As far as Iksar vs. Human, people say that Iksar is nice for the native AC and infravision. Humans are just kind of more rare, perhaps.
 
Vote for STA

Unless you go to the uber end of the game and max out your sta,... then I can see the CHA point being valid.
 
You would have to get to over 405 STA (relic buff gives 80 is my reasoning) to justify CHA in my opinion. Landing a spell is not a priority of monks. Surviving a hit is one.

As far as Iksar vs Human, Iksar can see in the dark and has higher AC bonus. Human fists hit harder and gain exp quicker.
