Ikisith Group Entry Quest

So I've been told that if you do the group version of the ikisith entry quest, you can pretty much just afk at the beginning. I have a few questions about this
1 is it true that you can do this?
2 is it legal? is it considered a bug/exploit?
3 will i be able to redo it when I'm able to assemble a serious group to further my MQ or is it a one time quest?

I only ask this because I've been having trouble with the solo version and I'm getting fed up with it. I don't normally like skipping over things, but I've already failed 2 attempts and I hate waiting in that line. any answers would be awesome
 
find out for yourself!
get added to the solo quest list, grab 6 people and afk in the group quest area.
by the time you get out whether you pass/fail from afking you'll have your answer
if you fail you'll have your turn waiting for you back at the dock.
 
I would, but if I succeed, i don't know if its an exploit. I wouldn't want to get myself or other people in trouble
 
Then why not just slowly attempt what you can? I do know that you need to be successful in killing something in order to be flagged to continue the MQ. I have hard time believing they would create a one shot chance at continuing the bread and butter of SoD lore, so it is my belief that this is redo-able.
 
You are not limited to one attempt of the group version, it just means that your entire group needs to be at the crate or your boned.
