Hiya folks :dance:

Well, first and foremost let me thank you guys in advance for hosting the server. Being familiar with server costs, I can understand that it is a labour of love and that all parties involved must be truly dedicated to the genre, the game and the community.

That being said, I really don't know what to expect. I've never played on a private server, and recalling some of the GM's on OFFICIAL servers behaving less than reputably, I'm hoping things will go well here.

Now, a little about me:

My introduction to MMO's was EQ. The highest level I played was a 25ish SK on Rallos Zek.

From there, I've played many MMO's, from WoW and EQ2 to iRose and most recently Rappelz online. I almost exclusively play high damage casters, and plan to play a Wizard on this server.

To be completely frank, I'm hoping this game will keep me busy until Vanguard arrives, but then again I've been known to get caught up in games and never look back =D

Okay, enough of my yapping, I do believe I'm going to log in now!
 
I keep the SoD staff in line and ensure that everyone has a fair playing time and there is no staff favoritism going on. You don't have to worry about corrupt GMs here at all.

Well guys, I'm all for honesty.

I installed EQ, updated and patched it, rand your patch... started it up... and once I logged in, I remembered how old EQ is and how bad the graphics look.

I just don't have a good enough imagination to play such an old game.

Funny thing is, I remember thinking EQ had really good graphics, wayyyyy back in the day.

Anyways, since I made a hello, it's only right for me to say goodbye as well =D
 
you're going to leave a game just because it looks bad? :psyduck:

graphics aren't everything and the game play is what got me hooked.
If you truly are leaving well thanks for coming to try it out. :toot:
 
Wow, yeah...graphics aren't really the definition of a good game. Sadly I think that's where most game developers are moving though. A coworker and I were just talking about it. They concentrate on making it pretty and pay no attention to the game play. Graphics can be terrible, but if the game is fun, that's really what matters. Sorry to see you're leaving because of the graphics. Luck with Vanguard when it comes out.
