I always used this item for the ferocity, but apparently the ferocity 1 on this item doesn't do anything in the ammo slot. So could the ammo slot be removed from this item please since you gain nothing from it and there is no reason for it to be there.

Stats: (Pristine Stats btw)

Slot: Range, Ammo
Effect: Ferocity I (worn)
Dex +9, Cha +9, Wis +8, Int +8, HP +38, Mana +55
SV Fire +6, SV Cold +6, SV Poison +6
 
I think it should stay as its a cool thing to just have in your ammo. I'd wear it there if I had one.

That's why I'm saying the ammo slot should be removed from this item :psyduck:

You literally gain nothing from it. It would be nice to be able to have the ferocity work in the ammo slot but that's a whole separate argument.
 
He was just letting you know that none of the stats work; addressing specifically the ferocity made it sound like you thought the rest of the stats worked if you equipped it in ammo.

I know and I already stated it. There's no reason to say that a hundred times over. I was saying I personally carried it for the ferocity which up until recently I was told worked.
 
I'd carry it in my ammo slot for the fun of it. If you want to sell your now useless to you item I'll buy it from you and get it off your hands :D

Then don't put it in your ammo slot.
 
He knows the stats dont count and Im pretty sure he can figure out how to not put it in his ammo slot. I believe he is asking for this to be changed as having it equipable in the ammo slot is misleading to those that are not aware of the stat limitations of the ammo slot.
 
I really see no point in removing an extra slot. If nothing else, it allows you to "hold" it in your ammo slot. Some people also like to just put stuff there for kicks. I don't see why it should be removed.
 
Prolly the best reason to remove the ammo slot is because its misleading. Someone who doesn't read the forums very often or doesn't notice the message on fomelo would think that the stats work.

Keep in mind taking off ammo slot isnt a whole ton of effort for the devs (AFAIK)

I agree, unless an item has a reason to go in the ammo slot (like a clicky, or it's actually ammo) it really shouldn't be ammo-slot equipable.

My logic says that is it is already there, why remove it. Adding it to every piece of gear is not what I said.

Ok, if a player can't observe his or her stats not increasing as a result of equipping the item, there are more serious issues at hand. Worst case, having it ammo equippable gives you 81 available inventory slots.

Not completely useless!

The stats reported by the client or even fomelo are not always correct. I don't know if Eldo has fixed this in the latest iteration of fomelo but at one point items equipped in ammo (eg skysplitters) would appear to give stats.
 
If I cant get the use of an item in my head slot, I wouldnt expect Head to be listed as available slots. Same logic should apply to this item, remove AMMO as an available slot imo.

Granted its a super minor thing as far as this item is concerned.

Someone selling it may leave out that ammo doesnt provide stats when they are trading with another player, just to make more cash. I think just because this possibility exists, its reason enough to simply remove the slot.

This is exactly what happened when the item first came out. Some unnamed person was trying to sell it to people and claiming the stats worked in ammo despite a post on the forum saying they didn't.
