Idea: Reintroducing Vendors Somewhat

I admit not being overly familiar with the /listsold stuff, but your option features "randomly populated" inventories, whereas it is my understanding that with the /list, it isn't. That's the problem I foresee with it: having to hit several random sellers until you find whatever you were looking for. I apologize if I'm way off.

Well, you could still go use the /listsold system like you normally would. This would just have vendors populated with some of the items FROM the /list system.

Honestly I would like this. I like to browse the current /list system just to see what is out there, and having a few vendors to run around and look at to me is actually easier to me than typing names over and over and clicking on gear, closing windows, etc. Most of the time with the /list system people don't explain well what they are selling or they can only mention a couple of items they have anyway, with this idea you could run up to a vendor and browse through a good chunk of items in just a few seconds. Plus if the contents of the vendor(s) change every so often you can check a vendor quickly whenever you get back to town, instead of folks standing like a room full of zombies in front of the banker.

Sorry, no. The main reason we got rid of the old vendor system is that EQ's purchase system is utterly unfit for a dynamic vending system like the listing.

Ahh... Yeah I suppose there are a lot of things that would spuff it up, like someone repricing an item while someone else was browsing a vendor with it on, I just kind of hoped there were hacks to get around it

The problem is that the purchases are slot based, to work with a system like listing they have to be item ID based.
