So I want to do my tailoring in peace, but it appears I now need brewing, and to do brewing I need pottery, and getting pottery to 60 skill bankrupt me and I need to get it to 80 to do brewing.. So how can a lvl 23 beastlord make some quick cash so I can contiue doing my tradeskills? Grouping is slowing bringing in money, but once the group has disbaneded, I only have about 30 plat from exping and that only affords like 1-10 skill ups.

you could start making low cost basic combines, for tradeskills that the more advanced traders need in the higher skills but have no time to make!
and sell them for... like costprice x 1.5 or x2

Lol after combining 2 clay together to make baked clay for like 2 hours, I really dont want to do it!! hehe but maybe since I have some iron ore left over I can make iron studs..

**edit** I have seen sharkskin sell for 30 plat each (or for a stack, im not quite sure) and I saw a shark one time that killed me, it was yellow..

Tradeskills take a TON of time and especially money. Money that you won't have at your level. I'd advise leveling up, doing tradeskills on the side as money and materials permit. As you hunt, think about what tradeskill items you'll need along the way, and choose places to hunt that will yield some of those items so you don't have to buy as much from other players. You can also hunt where tradeskill items in high demand drop, and sell those to other tradeskillers for extra cash.

Actually, you have seen shark skin shoulderpads sellign for 30 pp each (they get you to 200 tailoring), the sharkskins are going for 100 per stack.

Best you can do is farm some items that other folks need (blackbane in FR is a good choice) and sell a few to get started.

Then you can get pottery to 80 and sell glass vials for 10 plat a stack, or somewhere in that range.

Pottery is, without exception, the easiest (and cheapest) skill to do, at least up to 80. Get used to the pain, because that is as easy as it is goign to get.

Yea but blackbane and sharkskin are both for tailoring, the exact same tradeskill I am doing, so selling those is kinda going against me. Maybe later I will try and max out my potery with the little money I have try and sell vials/ointment.

I'm kinda in the same boat - trying to work up blacksmithing and jewelcrafting on my chanter :p

But - this is kinda cool. I play both a 23 Warrior and a 21 Cleric. I was running the warrior through the woods between Erudin and FR... and I aggro'd / killed a few grizzlies on the way. Tailors use their pelts for hand made packs I think. I got offered like 8p per grizzly pelt... or bear pelt... one or the other. They weren't all that hard to kill. I might have to go kill some more bears =P

So I finally got brewing and pottery both to 79, but now each tailoring combine costs like 2 plat each, and that is with farmed items. Once I get some items together and a little more money/skill I can start making lots of FQ augs, which I hope people buy =)

Shrouded Isle is a decent place to hunt for both XP and plat. Armor that drops there sells to merchants (chain/plate) or you can save leather armor for making studded leather (been awhile, assuming it is the same). Best place for this stuff is in the mansion. Good Luck with the tradeskills and do not give up!

defo go to Shrouded Isle, i was making about 100p an hour + 40% xp at 30-35, and some high end brewing stuff drops there like the Symbols of Evil, o and don't forget skull staff's 7.6p each to vendor!

Mining is cheap to raise to 250. There is a little money in selling the lower ores but I now offer 500pp per stack of ghostmetal and warpmetal ore. They are mined in kaladim and sundered mtns. Chance to mine them is usually around 1-3%. It's possible to mine a stack of them in 2-3 hours if lucky.
