I remember a while back on Eq live for an event they had a ghost ship go to the ports as a zone and they had mobs drops and crap on it ... maybe as a event or like a perma zone a ship could randomly sail at night sail around and people could lvl on would be fun just a random idea as i wait for the patching to finish =))

any comments??

Continued....

I dont no what lvl it could be lower mid higher end. But, C'mon who wouldnt want to go lvl ona traveling ghost ship that only appears at night then dissappears before dawn and is not seen again till night.. or as an event would be fun....

I kinda wanna hear what people think so leave a comment if u think it trash or a good idea

Speaking hypothetically;

I find the idea of the ghost ship that mysteriously appears at a random time, draws a few people onboard then whisks them away, not to be seen for a day or something, quite interesting. Obviously an idea like this has potential, but it's far from usable. I'm not sure loot/exp rewards would work in the first place, considering

A) Level difference of players, it would really suck to be too high/too low level when that ship sailed in.
B) Number of players & group organisation, could vary wildly - see C.
C) I feel that the mystique of such an idea is that it's random, nobody knows much about it, and it raises interest in something and promotes people to take it upon themselves to 'explore'. It wouldn't work if people knew it was coming, you'd get a hardcore group bullying loners/other groups out of the way for the sake of loot or experience.

Players could board this random & rare ghost ship and be taken away to somewhere quiet for a full day in-game, during which the people on the ship are taken slowly through a story, such as the past of the previous crew and their fate, why the ship's haunted, why it's docking in random harbours, and what the ship wants with them. Think that could have priceless immersion value.

yea that good ..

WHat he said basically..but adding a little

There could be a good storyline for it added on as a side journey with a main boss. the inside of a big ship could be a zone and gets harder as it progresses like anything else starting at 20 30 or 40 - 65. say this ship make a stop to all the docks at night then sets off to slowly travel through a sea zone .. that u can enter if u go to the top floor. also even if they wanted to go futher they could have it come to a i dont no undead pirate raiding zone (city tower fortress what ever). For upper levels. Or add a old zone and revamp it to work that way. would be tons of fun. but i say that going to to far these people aready to enough as it is codeing a whole new zone alot of work.. But what i really would basically want to suggest with out the continuation from above is:

1.) Big (Undead/Live) (Pirate/mysterious) (real/ghost ship)
2.) Internal Zone on the ship
3.) Travels to all accomidating docks
4.) Has Main boss [Capt.]
5.) Only Comes to Docks at night
6.) makes last stop at a dock and dissapears (everyone inside gates to homepoint or last dock visited)

Basically an open ended suggestion

Not that I do or do not support this idea, but this could utilize the files in the Ykesha expansion, I believe that there's a zone that's just one big ship.

maybe not a ghost ship, but damn I will love to see yakesha zones in SoD with the pirate ships andthe whole nine yards.
