Because we really don't like Vah Shir, and because they invariably come with plenty of "i am MEOWW PURRKITTY hehehe" names.
 
I'm so glad that Vah Shiers are not a playable race, for one thing I consoder them a pornographic furrie material for those sick pervs to get turned on, and SoD is not for that. Now if the Vahshiers were like the kerrans (the old cat people) I would not have any problems with that. But watching some cat person on skinpy outfit with huge boobs alot of people find that disturbing, I don't blame the SoD crew. So here is my answer for you furry people, go find furry porn on the internet and not on SoD. Thanks.
 
Honestly, how are they any different than Barbs or Wood Elves? All of the SoD models are drawn by seriously undersexed individuals, and are designed to be as extremely masculine/feminine in appearance as possible. The one exception to this is the iksar, who are not mammals and therefore have different organs than the rest of the races.

If you think they are pornographic, either you haven't looked closely at the other models, or you are reading way too much into something.
 
The game was marketed to geeks. Geeks tend to not score. Ergo, offering that gratification through another means (that you can profit off of) will likely result in making PH4t L3wtZ
 
i know the only reason my friends and I bought eq back in the day was because we thought we could get some porn out of it... the game, well, that was just a hindrance. im glad a company like verant thought of a great way to deliver porn under the guise of a sub-par massive internet game...
 
I didn't say that it was the _only_ draw, but a game with stick figures vs a game with knockers, the knockers will probably win.
 
wood elves are just humans with pointy ears, thats all. they dont have fur all over their bodies and they dont have your pet's head and tail. How much more different can they be? If you want to get anatomicly correct, the vahshiers should have 8 small nipples located on their stomach and pretty much will look like Kerrans. The reason why Vahshiers were done that way was to market the game for those sick furry lovers(and apparently there are many), and seriously I have no respect for people that get turned on by animal porn.

Frankly, not _everyone_ that plays a Vah Shir is some furry-porn freak. I played a VS in live up to about 35 or 40 (after that all my friends quit and it became kinda boring). I was just used to playing that character and wanted to recreate it here, oh well.

For the record, that character's name was Margaret.
