In a previous post I was told this
Log into IRC for server status (yes it was down momentarily for a quick reboot).

IRC stands for Internet relay chat and is a very nifty chat system. You can download mirc or use a web based irc program.

The IRC of the server is just shardsofdalaya.com if you use mirc. There are guides out there for it searching is a handy tool.
 
I appologize. I shouldn't have assumed you knew what IRC was...

After you download a chat client you should know that to log on IRC you have to type /server shardsofdalaya.com (not just the url). In order to join the shards channel you will need to type /join #sod as well.
