Huge issue running SoD, new computer

I recently started playing SoD on my bro's comptuer cuz we're both back from college for a while, and from the start I've hit a brick wall. it's a dual AMD Opteron system and I've tried using the dual cpu fix but it doesnt work. Other things i've figured could be the problem are the videocard, which is a GeForce 6800GT, not sure if it has any issues with SoD though. Basically, the moment I hit the character select screen, the character's bodies start contorting and flying around all over the place, shrinking and growing and contorting, even entering the game, all npcs and characters start doing the same thing, its kinda scary really. It may also have to do with the clockspeed, as when I get in the game, everything runs in super-fast mode, turning, running, clicking things, pretty much everything :sadf: , here are some screenshots:

when you did the dual core fix. whenever you opened up the patcher you ctrl+alt+dlt went to processes, looked at sodbin.exe righed clicked, went to set affinity and set it to one core?

you have to set affinity to the patcher only btw.

that's the exact problem i had on my pc (amd x2 3800+)...

Thanks a lot, i'm out of town for the easter weekend, but i'll give that a shot soon as i get home. Seemed like a dual core issue from the start, that's probably what i did wrong =]
