How to make Item Link in chat?

How does one make an item link in the chat (auction chat)? I've tried and tried and TRIED to figure it out. I asked around in guild chat AND auction chat (got a stupid terms of rules thing for asking twice), I looked everywhere in Wiki, I checked here in the Tome of Knowledge, I did a search. This seems to be a tabboo subject... anyone? help?

PS: I DO know about the listing system, because there's a post on it in the Tome of Knowledge. No need to tell me about that, unless it somehow relates to item links.

Incidentally, this would be a good thing to add to "The Listing System" thread in the Tome of Knowledge.
