HOW TO FIX BEING STUCK IN OASIS/SOUTH RO

Hello,

My Account is Tontonx (cleric 23th high elve)

i don't understand why but...i was zoning from stingers bog to s.wastes of tarhyl...

and then i crashed on the desktop with this message :

"the Game cannot find the zone file "sro" in the direcntory...

so ok i decided to redo the official patch with a complete file check

re-downloaded your "maps" zip and applyed it

and then a "repatch all" with your SoD Patcher...and still the problem...

Can you move my caracther from the s.wastes of tarhyl zoneline to the stingers bog zone ?
(if possible not near the zoneline...i sometimes take the wrong way when i am betweek 2 zonelines...)

Still...i don't know how to solve this problem...as the official patcher should have downloaded this "sro" file...

but actually...i am stuck...

edit : i just looked at my directory...and reorganized the files by name and for "sro"
i just find sro_chr.txt...

nothing more...problem is...i don't have the cds anymore...threw them to the bin years ago :(
how can it be that the official patcher is not downloading south ro...

PS: we don't encourage downloading the game for one of many reasons.  This is one that comes to mind every time someone posts with this problem.  :(  I'd look into replacing the cd's (they are like 10 bux for the trilogy ::shrug:: ).

PPS: I moved your cleric for you, but as Rab stated in another thread, you can't avoid the zone forever. =p

And i've found a way to retrieve the 6 sro files...so i think i won't have the problem anymore

Which versions of the game come with the old SRO files? Asking as I'd rather get all the expansions in one go rather than buying piecemeal.

And what expansion is SRO in as I'd like to know which box to uncheck when updating(or would that be a bad idea?).
 
The original game (the first disc) comes with the SRO files. I wouldn't uncheck that when updating. If you have the cd's it shouldn't be an issue.
 
I wonder if this would be on the disks that were given out as free copies during the 2003 Tour Across America that SOE was putting on right before SOL was released. Thats what I installed from :) and now im wondering if I should even wonder into that zone region :)
