How to create shortcut for launch

Hi,
I just downloaded EQ and got back into playing, I got SoD all setup and logged in for the first time, but how do I create a shortcut to launch SoD server or do I have to go through the patcher which I originally downloaded? Anytime I try to use the actual EQ icon that takes me to the live servers.

Right click on the sodpatchet.exe file and go down to sendto - desktop
