How many greater dragonscales does it take?

Since I've hit indifferent to giants I've turned in at least 23 ( and i think the correct number is 25 ) greater dragonscales to Enforcer Husrag ( no I didn't stack them, yes I got a faction message every time he accepted one ) and I am still amiable. I am praying that this is a bug with either the faction hit or some how with my character because at this rate I can't see how "newer" characters would ever get to ally, but I figured I'd post in S&R first.

Others have said they're getting from indiff to ally with 20 greaters, but that was a few weeks ago, just wanted to see if the faction hits were changed at all.

I am stuck at about exact number as you.
Also turned in some orc teeth and few lesser scales.
I guess it must have been changed just recently, because others really say they didn't need as many.
 
For some reason I can't fathom, the non * version of Husrag had been changed to give +10 faction per greater scale instead of +50. I have no idea how that happened, and will be fixing it.
 
Will the faction be increased automatically, should we petition or just be happy we'll earn more money because we'll have to farm more scales? :D

Here is Jinxat's thread Greater Dragon Scales posted on May 19th, and here is my Giant faction quest hit changed or bugged? thread posted April 28th about the same issue. :(

Were lesser scales bugged to be reduced as well? The data I posted in my thread seems to indicate that they might have been.
 
What's the word on this? That is, does it work now, and are people who got nailed by the bug supposed to do anything? Also, I turned 19 g.scales and 15 l.scales in to Husarg* from max indiff and didn't go to ally, so unless the old 201 lesser scales / 1 g scale = 10 l scale metric doesn't work anymore, something's going on there.
 
I turned in 3 greater scales and 15 teeth since Wiz's last post and I jumped from amiably to kindly, so I guess it should work now (or did those 20 greater scales bring me to max amiably even with 5 times less faction...?).
I am just happy that I finally moved somewhere :D

The only bad thing now is that it's so boring after burning xp bonus in DHK... 1 or 2% per kill with a little chance of a scale dropping..
Could the scale drop rate be upped just for a little for a few days maybe? :D

I don't think that would be to overpowered. After all it used to be much easier to get faction.

This was apparently changed a while back; now it's 201 lesser scales with 1 greater = 8 lesser.

AND KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE

The 'with' lost me...
 
Interesting, I'd always presumed the reward for turnins in $$$ and faction would be the same ratio, so good to know.
