How long is the crawl?

Greetings everyone. Hope all is well.

I have a quick question regarding end game raiding. How long is the typical dungeon crawl? I understand this question might be impossible to really answer because each fight/dungeon is unique.

I ask because I am a pretty casual player currently. With college, a girlfriend, work, and the various other time restraints placed upon me, I fear that I might be leveling up just to sit around bored at the endgame because I'm unable to participate. I was pretty heavy into Everquest back in the day, and I understand the amount of time and dedication required to really get things done, and unfortunately, that's time and dedication I simply can't offer today; not because I don't want too, simply because life prevents me from doing so. Raiding in Everquest was a blast at most times as I'm sure it is in SoD, if not more fun here, there just simply isn't enough hours in the day my friends.

So, regarding my question... Is the typical raid night in SoD similar to that of Everquest?

Raids on SoD are typically 4-6+hours I'd say. Other guilds may have different timings, but certainly the higher end/more serious raid guilds will need to dedicate serious amounts of time. This is still 'the game' at heart: the more time you dedicate, the further and quicker you progress...
 
its the same as on live really.

especially when you get to SoD's end game zone and the zone right below it in difficulty
 
If you can't commit to 3 or 4 hours a few times a week in the evenings (or whenever the raiding guild of your choice raids) you probably won't find a spot in a serious raiding guild. There are, however, guilds that are more layed back with whom you may raid smaller targets which may only last a few hours.

There are other alternatives to raiding to a degree. SoD actually offers very nice crafted items and harder dungeons where gear can be aquired which is only a step behind many raid calibre items. If you can give a few hours here and there to get in good groups at level 65 you can obtain these items or money to buy them, without any dedication to a guild.
 
ive seen raids for 30 minutes to 4 hours...
dhk are pretty usual for the top4 guilds if u manage to join em..
