Horrible crashing problem!! Help please!!

Hey everyone,

I have been trying to solve this problem for days but I cant seem to figure it out. Every now and then I will enter a zone and when I hit a certain area of that zone my computer feezes. Once it is frozen I have to manually restart the computer (which I'm sure cant be good for it). Specifically, this happens in South Newport and last night in West Badlands. Sometimes I am able to navigate past these areas without freezing but usually I have to avoid them entirely. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a simple solution?

I am running Windows Vista, 1.6g cpu, 1g RAM, plenty of memory, decent divers and such.

If any of you could help me I would be so thankful!

If you tried repatching, it could be that you have some corrupted files perhaps. im no techie so i don't know if that problem could cause your pc to freeze.

Hey Lydrea! Thanks for the help. I did the repatch all and so far no problems, so I hope things have been fixed, if not, maybe it is a real problem :(
 
Solved it

Ok, if anyone else has been having this strange error, it is due to overheating. Well, in most cases I presume. I downloaded EQplaynice and have not had this prolem since.
