High-End Raid Content

Random question...

I was talking with my brother and the topic of raid content (in MMOs in general) came up. I'm not high enough level to do them myself, but how many people are typically needed to complete the most difficult raids on here? A full group of level 65's? Multiple groups of level 65's?

And how long would the more difficult ones take, on average?

18 people for on tier raids.

Time varies. Some bosses can be done in as little as an hour + trash, some have no trash, some you're looking at 4-5 hours, but that's with several mobs (3-4 raid targets, etc, not including wipes of learning etc)

The raid-game is primarily a 18-character paradigm.

There are also 6-man dungeons and pieces of 6-man content that span the tiers, but in lesser quantity. There is a 12-man dungeon as well, but 12-man content is rare.

The raid game is extensive here, and past Tier 3, you're definitely going to want a full raid of 18 characters unless you're overtiered.

Most guilds with scheduled weekly raid nights raid for 4-5 hours on that night, but most of the content can be bitten off in smaller chunks.

If you want to know about the very very very highest end, the raid schedule of the top guild on the server currently is Sunday 4pm-11pm, Monday 7pm-12midnight, Wednesday 7pm-12midnight.
