High end chest peices.

OK, for this post I actually thought on the subject for more than a mere moment. I also took the time to peruse a few high end wanelo's before posting.

There is a plethora of gear to choose from in WR. A TON. You can quest, solo, single group, raid, etc. All for reasonable and decent gear. YAY. That is all well and good. However, it seems that at the higher end of the raiding game, there is a lack. The best things to have are stormbreaker(leather, chain, plate) or Robe of Burning Lava. Now, these are great, and come from easily 'raidable' targets. (if that is appropriate to say). Now, i am not complaining, merely observing, that there do not seem to be other viable items for the chest. There are countless other items for the other slots that are all considerably similar enough so they are almost interchangable.

My only sugestion would be to make a few more decent chest peices drop from raid targets. I know that this would be something to add way down the line, and the reason i say this isn't because I think my RoBL sucks(look at my profile lol, i dont even have one...yet)

Anyways, i only posted this after seeing all of the high end tanks and caster were wearing these, I mean have you been on a raid lately? Seems like most of those casters are indistinguishable in their dark red robes lol. Anyways, food for thought I guess, and if anyone knows of anything besides ornate/stormbreaker/RoBL that is raid loot(and good) lemme know.


P.S. I beleive there are chain and leather alternatives already from raid targets. At least if memory serves me. I cannot find them on wanelo right now, however if you know what they are that would be great, thanks!!!
 
The robe on Janseth's Wanelo is a common monk robe, and an alternative to the stormbreaker leather. There are quite a few better chain tunics than the stormbreaker chain (atleast for shaman).

I don't know about the topic to really say so, but I'm like 75% sure I agree with you.
 
For non raiders decent BP's drop in cmal 3. Then there is a nice BP that drops off high Warden Ansaag in tower of tarhyls trial 2 for wisdom plate casters. There is also a nice tank BP that drops in catacombs and the best obtained, at the moment, BP is quested in "the Prison".

There is a REALLY nice leather jacket that drops in eldenals off a regualr named which ALMOST equal to Stormbreaker leather. There is a nice monk robe that drop s in PoAir.

There are a ton of great BP drops in the high end.

It is just like with all slots. One has to be the best and the best easy to get robe at the moment is the one from ghan so almost everyone has that.

Best and easy to get MELEE bp is from king or ornate so you see those al around.

Thats only because those targets get hit often and alot.
 
Honestly it's just that either:

1) For whatever reason people are raiding the entire server and somehow the mobs are only dropping the same gear. (Boy wouldn't that be strange?)

-OR-

2) Pretty much everyone is happy with the normal raid spots and has/feels no need to venture out and camp mobs enough to see what they drop.

In any event; let me take the time to say that there is actually so many higher level robes/bps that I have actually stopped making them for the time being. (Minus uber loot drops from Prison.)

As usual I have to be vague and give my normal answer of:

basically there are a ton of armor drops in this game as long as you kill more things than ghan and king. Also forgot tower drops, the torment plate bp there is almost king bp.

There's tons of robes, but only five viable Warrior rings. Two of which come from trash in Kael and ToV, respectively, and another being on a mob only ever killed once.
 
I would also love to see more viable rogue weapons, piercing and bow weapons in both aspects.

In the end game there are only 2 bows worth using for a rogue, and from what i've seen every rogue at higher levels carries either a Bonesunder, or if they have really been busy raiding, a Twilight Rapier.

In their off-hand they ususally only have the Ancient Claw of Cillzaia.. That's really the only two weapons you ever see a rogue at higher levels using, same at lower levels.. You usually only see them using Large Shards of Frost and Flame, or one of the higher level weapons.

Either way, I think that the developers are doing a great job on the items in this game, the few items there are in some catagories are great. ;)
 
Only piercer I've attained for my rogue up to level 23 has been the 5/19 one from the gnoll in Everfrost.

I don't know what you're talking about with those 9/20 piercers being "low level" rogue piercers.

I can't imagine seeing those until I'm in my upper 30's or 40's maybe. Correct me if I'm wrong though, because I'd gladly like to go find the mobe that drops those for low level rogues.
 
He probally means when it's buyable. For example, at level 30s, you usually have a few hundred pp saved up. So that's usually when you can afford to buy them. The mob some of those things drop off aren't easy.
 
I'm lvl 23 and have 10pp to my name. Maybe I've missed the sweet plat farming spots or something, but I don't find money to be very plentiful at all at this point.

Only way I got gear on me is selling gnoll ears several levels back. If I hadn't I'd still be wearing leather I think.

Are there areas where the mobs drop decent money in the 20's? Maybe several gp or single plats?
 
First ruins entrance has lots of gems and other drops, plus black steel armor. That's a decent place. When I first started here I saved up about 200pp at level 34ish. So it is possible. Oh, and that was only from grouping, no money farming.
