The name's Chris, and holy crap I just discovered the existence of EQ emulation. It seems almost too good to be true. I have to wait a few days before I can actually play, and until then I'm slightly in disbelief that I'll get to return to Norrath.
I loved, loved, loved EQ -- Kunark and Velious era of course -- but my only hope that I'd ever be able to get back into MMOing would be a new commerical title. I pinned all my hopes on Vanguard: Saga of Heroes since Brad McQuaid was involved. Alas, when I finally got in on the beta test, it just didn't do anything for me.
The way the games industry has been going this decade my hopes have been getting fainter and fainter. But it turns out the answer's been around for years and years. So much wasted time playing Counter-Strike and TF2 when a simple google search would have brought me what I craved.
Anyway hello to everyone, and I relish the prospect of adventuring with you in days and weeks to come! I'm an Enchanter at heart, and will be startin' up a new one of those real soon.
