For those of you running on Win2K plus, if you start noticing you're getting really really choppy sessions, i.e. Mini freezes when you're doing just about anything...

Disable your Indexing Service.

> Right Click My Computer
> Click Manage
> Click Services
> Go to Indexing Service, right click on it, and click stop.

This will stop CIDAEMON.exe from occupying so much of your CPU time. Even me, running a dual CPU system, this was causing a lot of problems during my sessions. If you run with logging, cidaemon.exe can take upwards of 50% of your cpu time do to a log file being constantly modified, and it catalogues that file every change that's made. Once your log file groes fairly large, it eats a hell of a lot of cpu time and memory resources.
