help help!

Whenever I try and load up SoD through the patcher or just normal everquest, I keep getting this error right after hitting play saying "eqgame.exe-unable to locate component...this app has failed to start because d3dx9_30.dll was not found"

It says I should reinstall, but I hesitate for two reasons
I dont own all the expansions anymore, and it worked upon my first log in until I got DCed

any words of wisdom ye of technical knowledge?

Hey.. I need help from someone, if I don't have the Everquest installed on my computer can I still download SoD and be able to play? or do I need to purchase the everquest cds to be able to play..

You have to have the original game cd, then patch to live and run the SoD patcher.

try reinstalling direct x

Reinstalling Direct x will fix the dll problem...i had the same thing happen...realized i hadn't installed any version of directx...Installed it and worked fine after that.
