Hi, this is my first time playing the first EQ. Just wanted to say hi, and to ask, do I have to use a randomly generated named when making a character? I tryed typing in a name and pressing enter, but when I press next, the game keep the randomly generated name and does not take the name I entered. Am I doing something wrong? And sorry If this should be in a different part of the forum.

And while I know you do not have to use a randomly generated name, I do not know how to solve the current issue. Perhaps the name is already in use?

Thanks. I'll just use a random name, I don't really care anymore. Its better to just pick a fair name and start playing than to sit here frustrated ^_^
