HI, I am new here. I found out about private servers through WoW. I then thought I might find an Everquest server and lo and behold I did! :)
My in game name will Be Dorrodim Deepdweller, Dwarf Cleric extrordanair. I had this character up to level 65 in the retail game and with 62 AA points. He had some special gear from some events when I was raiding with him and I hope to get that far again with him. I am now without the retail game though, so I have to get another one. I think I will buy whatever compilation pack I can get. The platinum pack i think has all the required files minus the last 2 expansions. But your level cap is only 65 so I might not need those. Let me know what version of EQ I will need to buy, or if I can download it somewhere let me know where.

Actually, if you have *any* EQ installation CD, even the original, all you need it the everquest.exe file to get started. Run that and go to the advanced options of the patcher to specify that it download only those expansions up through LDoN. It will download everything you need.
 
Thanks, will the 21 day trial from Sony work for this? If not my friend has the platinum version, I just have to go borrow it.
 
Just borrow your friend's CD.
Otherwise, ther is no 21 days trial here, it's free... :toot:
You might want to donate if you feel yourself at home though. Even 5$ a month is greatly appreciated and helps the server running.
 
I would think the trial version would work just to get patched, but yeah, your friend's copy would definitely do the job.
 
welcome to SoD Dorrodim. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised with all the extra's available here exclusivly. it would be hard to compare to attaining a level and amount of aa's with the live game. Have a seat and enjoy the ride! you'll find lots of cool gear from adepts, and tmaps along the way :dance:
