Um..Oh, boy, where to start..

Um..Hi everyone..I played EQ as a little kid back when I think it was before plane of knowledge came out, I'm..not too sure when that was.

Anyways, I was desperatly looking for a way to play again, and I googled around and found this. I hope not too much has changed from my glory days.

I'm also bringing my buddy Loremage in to play with me, Keep an eye out for us and say hey if you want; we're going to be a Wizard/Necro, so we could probably use all the help we could get!
 
Hi, welcome SoD :D Glad you found us, I'm sure you will like it. As for things changing...

This server is a custom server. It isnt meant to be a direct ripoff of EQ, rather they used the same base to create a world of their own, Dalaya. The zone connections are different, the spawns are different, the lore is different, the loot tables are all different, every quest was created specifically for this server, none of the quests from Live exist here. There are many differences, but many of the players consider it to have an old school feel.

Aside from that, this server is it's own deal, and doesn't need to be like Live to be awesome. Give us a chance, and I'm sure you and your friend will see that SoD is alot of fun. I'm Ghugran, High Seeker, Corporal of the Silver Crown, Sgt. Major in the service of Althuna, and a drunken dwarf Paladin. I'll see you in game :D
 
Thanks for the warm welcome. I kind of wanted the same experience, but I'll give it a shot.
 
Its the same kind of experience - just not the same experience!

In all honesty I think it combines EQ nostalgia and new adventure pretty well.

Then again its my game so I am not biased at all! Welcome!
