Hello to everyone. I'm new to WR, you see..

Hello, I would just like to introduce myself. I played EQ Live for a round 3 years, on and off. I had two level 55+(can't rememebr exactly) characters, a bard and ranger. I quit EQ about half a year ago because it was getting rediculous. They were coming out with new expansions every other month and I just didn't have that kind of cash. I have been familiar with emu's for a while and thought I should just play EQ emulated. I found out about WR from the eqemu site, something about 200+ players on at once? Good job!

Anyway, I have been reading the forum for about an hour now and looking at some differences of WR to EQLive. I can still remember 99% of the stuff from EQ Live, and would like to know some of the differences, mainly zones and quests. I saw plenty of topics that showed me race/class and other stuff, but would like to know if there are any planes? And are Erudin, Shadowhaven and Thurgadin the only cities? What expansion does WR stop at? Can I solo my whole life on WR? And exactly how much faster is the xp here? Thank you for taking the time to read this, and hopefully answer my [noobish] questions. I hope to have a most enjoyable experience on WR. :)

Welcome!

Well WR has some of the planes, but no PoK, transport is the old fashioned Druid/Wizard, and TL'er NPC's that have limited transport to some zones.

WR has the same zones as Eq but they been 'cut and chucked' using different zones in different places, new names and the mobs are different, named different etc, loot is different and quests are different.

Exp is also faster than EQ.

Basically the engine is the same.

Np, if your in game and got a prob send me a tell: Cathis or look to see whos on in Weary Travellers.
