Hello, hello

Dalayan Beginner
Just thought I'd stop by and say hello. Checked in a few times years back, but I'm seriously considering playing now that EQMac is dead.

Can anyone tell me how the population is here? If I rolled a Cleric would I be able to find groups to level early on?

Thanks!

Grouping at low levels can be tricky at times, especially if you play odd hours, but once you hit 65, people will love you if you are a cleric.

Eqmac close and account drive got more low levels in, but if you 2box a good pair
it will immensely Aid your leveling.

I've never been too great at boxing, but I'd regret not rolling a cleric.

Any recommendations for a race? Also is there a thread that generally lays out how all the SoD specific stuff works? Feels a little overwhelming but i figure you can't screw it up too bad early on.

How does the wiki not list the bonus dwarves get when drunk?????? Unacceptable!

Hey burdenday!

Shards of Dalaya is the best EQ emu out there!

Make sure to keep your eye on the Wiki when you come across no drop items. They may be for a very beneficial quest.

Hail people, get engrossed in the lore of the server and you will see how much detail went into making this game.

Make a tanky/dps class to go with your cleric to box your way through times you cant get groups.

If you are bored go explore and see where a quest or zone will take you. There are several places to explore to avoid monotony.

In my experience you don't have to be great at boxing for it to be a huge boon for leveling. You can move at your own pace, just ditch the box when you find groups. If you're worried about it falling behind you can create an adventure band and half your cleric's exp will go to the box.
