Hello everyone :)

I started playing on wintersroar not to long ago, and am enjoying myself alot! It feels like I'm back in the old days of everquest live, starting out with nothing and having to struggle to move forward, it's excellent :)

So I started playing a dark elf cleric named Bregador and have already met a good number of nice people playing in my level range.
Tell me, why is most people here so very friendly? :)

Another question, me and two friends where fighting in Fungus Grove before the patch yesterday, killing mutants, and I was on calm(lull) duty, and I managed just fine.
Some calms got resisted but that did not aggro the mobs before the patch, but after the patch a resist meant aggro and us running back to echo caverns zone.
Did you change this or was I just in some horribly bad luck?

Thank you, and hello :)

Resist on 'lull' type spells sometimes cause aggro, but not all the time. If they don't aggro you are lucky :)

On Live if I remember correctly, the lull series worked like absolute crap. It basically had perhaps a 1 in 4 chances of doing its supposed effect. On WR, I noticed that it worked 9 times out of 10. You can't beat that.

Your recollection of the lull series on Live is correct. However, it did eventually get fixed. I don't remember exactly when, but it was in early 2003ish.

oh man, was i hot, i remember that all too well. i guess i was stoked that lull was fixed finally. but that made my monks pulling utility alot less useful

yes, im maybe a little bitter )

Haha, I remember when a cleric on live could use pacy to run all the way down to trakanon in OS. The mobs wouldn't even attack you unless you stood right on top of them.

Pacy

I played a Cleric/Monk combo on live, and the pacy upgrade just made the job easier. Aaryonar splits before the change were a nightmare, afterward it just came down to a yawn factor for example. When they added Pacify as a flat out monk ability (phantom call) it really became a joke.

Yeah I agree, pacify is way too powerful, you can just pac to anywhere you want in a zone. Thankfully it'll never be added here.

Lull isn't working for me.

I have a froglock paladin with 75 charisma base. I think he's got some item that gives him 3 more charisma, for a total of 78. His lull line of spells never work. I lull a mob that is just barely within aggro range of another mob (ie. if you pull one, you get both). When I pull the unlulled mob, both mobs come anyway. I've tried simply casting lull on both, same results.
