Heal over Time spells

Direct damage spells show you how much damage you did.
Direct heals show you how much healing you did.
Damage over time spells tell you how much damage you inflict every tick.
However, Heal over time spells do not tell you how much healing they do.

I know druid and shaman will not want to see a message every tick from their regen spells. But as a cleric I do want to see a message from Elixir of Bliss. Would it be possible to return a message every tick from spells like Elixir of Bliss?

Thanks,

I think it would be fair, second this (it could appear just like dots, only for its caster) . Is it doable ?

I agree with this, it would be great to see the damage healed each tic. Also, would be great to see the amount of the crit. So many other healers waste mana by healing over a HoT not realizing that their heal was not necessary, especially with crits. I cringe every time I cast a HoT, and then a shaman or druid toss in a patch and then my HoT crits, only to be wasted.

I've often wondered whether a plugin type system, such as exists with the wow client was possible on eqemu. A myriad of plugins and mods exist for wow doing things like this, preventing overheal etc etc. Would be interesting to see some of the more useful ones here. But then again I think it would also be entirely impossible without modding the core client, unless someone goes in a ridiculously roundabout manner with modding the ui's..But I wouldn't even know where to start nor if it was actually possible.

I'm probably wrong but i think hacking is when something gives you an unfair adv over normal players, i couldn't see how this would be 'unfair'. I think it would be a good idea, of course im a druid so never would use it, but would deff help the clr community out there
