Harthuk Steel Armor

This has been a very frustrating adventure trying to find out where to turn in the Steel armor dropped by the Harthuks in Great Divide. I heard from a few people that you could turn them in somewhere to be rewarded with armor pieces, but no one was really sure where, they said they had done it before on alts, but it was so long ago they couldn't remember exactly who/where.

One person thought it was to Blacksmith Durbas in Thurgadin after doing his quest chain (Which proved to be extremely time consuming due to the rarity of Manticores in EW), but he still would not accept the items after the chain was completed.

I then heard from someone else that it was a quest for one of the Captains in Thurgadin, but none of them would take it nor provide me with any quests.

I have talked to every NPC in Thurgadin trying to turn this in to get better armor, and have thus had no luck. Wiki has no information on the quest or where the armor is turned in either.

I am hoping someone on here knows exactly where the Harthuk Steel armor pieces need to be turned in, or at least a point in the general direction.

I don't believe there is a place to turn them in.
 
It's my understanding that those are from a broken quest line abandoned a long time ago. Minor inconvenience that they are still on the loot table. Would be cool to make them pet equip, I always thought.

Ahh that is too bad, from what I heard it was supposed to be good gear, our 53 warrior is still running around in Copper Platemail with +1 Dex Augs on it, was hoping to get him some upgrades to make him less squishy.
 
Yeah, mid fifties is a time a lot of tanks start "hitting the wall", so to speak. But there are PLENTY of threads discussing tank gear, I'll let you peruse those at your convenience.
