Hangnail of Decay/Hoop of Madness

Why was the ATK nerfed to 25 on Hoop of Madness but the stat reductions and -2 mana/hp a tick kept in? :psyduck: The whole point of the item was you were taking a hit in one area but gaining a bonus (greater attack) instead, now this ring is inferior to the Hangnail of Decay from the same tier.

Stats +resist and a straight 25 to ATK.

-stats -2 mana/hp a tick and 25 to ATK

I guess what I am asking is could it's ATK be bumped up a bit again or possibly have it's -regen and reduction in stats removed, as the reason for the tradeoff no longer exists?

I support this post.
I consider Gibber much more difficult than Abom. It cost us like about 2 months from our abom first kill to jump to gibber first kill, raiding almost everyday. So if a ring from a much difficult mob its worse than an easy mob one, makes no sense to me.

Hoop of madness was nerfed because it had a seriously rediculous amount of ATK on it. In it's current state, I think its a little bit better than the cracked hangnail, due to the 36 more resists and 55 more HP, the -stats are easily overcome and -2 mana and hp a tick is negligable due to the fact that buffs give us much higher amount of mana and hp regen. In fact, I would wager that if you wore that ring, your mana regen would still cap out in combat no problem.

The Hoop of Madness is still superior to Hangnail of Decay, and upgrading it from its current state would probably make it overpowered in comparison to other dps rings, the Xavara one specifically (That is, it would be way more reward vs risk on Hoop).
