Halas newbie BST sleeves

I Tried to do this quest recently, and had the following problems.

Primalist Vylva tells me to buy metal studs from Mac McMicson, but he doesnt sell any. (tried his mate Mic too - or was it Mic that sells them - either way, neither had any).

Ok, so I /bug this.

(I also tried to buy a book on tailoring but he gives me (and charges for ) a backpack pattern, so I /bug that too).

The day hadn't gone too well, and I'd spent a couple of hours farming all the rest of the required items and dying an appropriate number of times., so I figured I'd log.


When I logged back in, I found the kit provided by primalist Vylva *inside* another pack, and all of the items I'd worked for had vanished.

I /petitioned at this point, and so far have not had a response (3days+) - should I re petition?.

Now I'm flagged for the sleeves so she won't give me any other armour quests, and I would really appreciate some in-game assistance with this please :)

Metal studs are now made with blacksmithing, small iron ingot + studs mold. You can make it with 0 skill, pretty much.
 
Thnaks Wiz, what should I do about the loss of the quest items ? - I destroyed the offending container in a hissyfit , and now can't get another. ;(
 
Did you try and say the keywords to start the items quest (e.g., [sleeves] ) and see if she gives you the bag and raw material again?
 
I also have a problem with this quest. I gathered the required ingredients, put them in the pack, and hit Combine. I was told that i can't combine these items in this container. Doh!

The only thing i can think of is that the studs i used were "Iron Studs" (made by a friend using the recipie Wiz listed above), and the quest specifically asks for "Metal Studs". Does that make a difference, and if so, is it possible to get "Metal Studs"?

I had no trouble using the [sleeves] keyword to get another pack, and trying again, but i get the same results.

(character name is Gunthal, lvl 21 BST, and i believe i tried with another, Kovac, lvl 13 BST)
 
Btw, i haven't been able to check the quest out yet, been too busy with RL. Thanks for the quick reply though Xeldan! I'll report back when i do check it out (maybe tonight, assuming i can gather the other ingredients quickly).
 
No luck. I finally gathered all the ingredients, but now i can't get Vylva to respond to hails. Is there a level cap on the quest? I hail her and nothing happens, i even tried turning in the BeastHunter's Spear (as mentioned in another thread). Still nothing.

None of the old keywords work (sleeves, protecting the balance, etc.), so i'm not sure where to go from here.
