Grouping

I was wondering, would it be possible to add a /cmd groupadd guild command of some kind. This command would randomnly group and link together guild members, making grouping easier, yes, I am lazy, I just think it would be a cool feature, not to mention time saving.

I would also like group links and bugs to be fixed, after I finish a group and disband, I often end up in the same group again, sometimes between sessions. It has gotten annoying to have to spam Control + D. So unless you can think of anything better, I'd like them fixed.

I'm cool with the random grouping, but I would love for the /cmd group link add guild to work again properly.

I believe the reason these bugs occur now is because they tried adding proper code so groups stay together while zoning. I like that feature and would rather have it than the annoying bugs.

such a command would be awesome. whenever i'm grouping people will invite me immediately. but as soon as i raid: it takes people FOREVER to invite me again after a LD, i have to literally spam INVITE FUCKERS till somebody finally considers inviting me, group links get screwed often and we have to reform all groups.... long story short: i've seen raids where we spent more time trying to group people than actually raiding. i'm not the only one having those problems, i know lots of people who are annoyed by that. i even know people who logged during raids because that frustrated them so much. i know people who had to wait half an hour (!) for an invite. those problems wouldn't exist, if the raid leader could just group everybody with such a command.

and to the "group bugs": they are annoying too. i often end up being grouped with people that aren't even online any more. one time i even had myself (!) in my group. it's no big problem if i'm just grouping and the group is bugged (i just spam disband and get invited again), but on raids it's a pain in the rear (people spam disband, never get invited again and if they are then everybody has to link again, people don't link, the links are screwed, and so on and so on -> CHAOS!). i miss the times when groups had to reform after zoning.... back then there were no group bugs. it was much less annoying to reinvite people after zoning, considering that you usually stay in a zone for quite a while. i also miss the times when /cmd group link add guild used to work. it was much easier to link to everybody that way. whenever we have to link now, we need all the group leaders to sound off every time somebody has to link (again) and that's annoying because leaders change almost 100 times during a raid (which screws links) and there's always at least 1 group leader who doesn't sound off for some reason (prolly because he doesn't even know that he is leader, which might also be a problem why people don't get invited).

please, pretty please with sugar on the top, fix the group bugs. if you can't fix them, then i'd rather want the old system back, where we had to reform groups after zoning and could do /cmd group link add guild. that system wasn't perfect but reforming a group after zoning is MUCH less annoying than the current system with all its bugs. never change a winning team, the old system was way better than the new one.

such a command to automatically group and link a whole guild might be asking too much, but would be awesome. as stated before i'd already be happy if we got the old group system back. fixed group bugs and such a command would of course be even better, though :D

People seem to miss buffs every single time due to bugs and various other issues, I'd really like buffs that hit more than one group to automatically land on everyone in close proximity (like mass group buff on live). That way if groups were at least bugged and mostly linked everyone would get buffs instead of having to recast them several times...

I have a feeling the cause of some of the group bugs might be with the group leader disbanding thing...

On the client there's some kind of invisible selected member marker when you click on the group list, this is different to what you had in target and works on whoever you last clicked on on the group window. On live a group leader could kick people from groups even if they weren't in the same zone by clicking on their name and clicking on disband. Here it only half works, sometimes a leader can click on someone and kick them and sometimes a random person is disbanded instead, when group leaders forget to /makeleader before they disband one person is usually kicked first. I have a feeling this 'selected person' might not be getting cleared or addressed properly on the client side which is causing problems. Just a theory i had the other night.
