Grobb SK quest question - possible problem?

Hi there.

I have been trying to complete the Grobb SK quest given by Spirit Talker Grekal (in the Alchemist Area of Grobb). He gives you a container where you are supposed to combine 6 items. After gathering the items, I've tried combining them in the container, but get an error that says I can't combine those items in this container. I tried giving Spirit Talker Grekal the container with the items uncombined, but he just gives it back.

No items were stacked during any of this.

Does anyone have any idea what might be going wrong here? Or can anyone confirm that this quest is either currently working or is currently broken?

that quest was broken last I tried it, which as admitidly a very long time ago.
Pissed me off royally, did it twice before finding out 'it's broken'.
 
The quest is A) broken or not.

There are 2 forms of leech blood , one is the vial of blood and one is the orb thing that drops , VERY RARELY (only gotten it once in about 400 leeches, over multiple chars).

Its possible the quest is set for this other leech blood (0.0 weight), and not a issue with the mushrooms ,ect.
 
I also think it is broken.....I have tried both types of leech blood and still get the "Can't combine these items in this container" message. I thought it might be the mushroom caps but have only been able to get 1 kind of mushroom cap to drop, so I don't know if there is another version of it or not. Anyways...broken.../agree

Well, maybe not good, but good thing it's not only me! heh.

I also thought it might have been something with the mushroom caps, since so many mushroomy things drop off the mushroom men - but I've killed many, and have tried two of everything they drop (that is not LORE, anyway, since the quest calls for two...) and no luck.

And maybe it IS the leech thing... but I don't think I will be killing 400 green leeches to find out = )

So I'm going with the "broke" excuse.

I was only able to find Leech Blood, not Blood of the Leech, but I did try the combo with 2 different kinds of alligator tails, one regular, one called Stunned Alligator Tail. That didn't work either, oh well. Was just curious, is the mushroom caps you all tried called, "Heady Mushroom Cap?" I haven't come across another mushroom cap as of yet, but I'm only lvl 5 so far, so we shall see. If a Quest Designer, when time permits, could take a look at this quest it would be much appreciated.
 
Hey guys, sorry about the delay in fixing this. I just uploaded a new version of the script that should remedy the problems you guys are having. It no longer requires the container - you can destroy that.

You'll want to pay another visit to him however, as the required items has changed slightly. If you can't get ahold of another bar to trigger the dialogue, simply say "what spirit potion" and he'll tell you what he wants now.
 
Umm if there is no container, how am I supposed to turn in two mushroom caps, two vials of the blood leeches, poison gland from a snake, and 3 pieces of dreamweave moss.

Do you turn these in stacked?

Hrm. OK - so I turned the items in stacked in the right quantities and got the potion - that's good, thanks for fixing ; )

I still have the old container in my inventory, should I destroy it? Does it matter?

One possibly related question (minor spoiler, but not really): took the potion and the bar to the quartermaster, got the crest. Took the crest to SHD guild master who said to take it back to Grekal. Gave it to Grekal, and Grekal gives it back and gives me the quest for the potion I already have again! (The one you just fixed with the script, that needed the container before and 3 dreamweave moss...)

Did one of the NPC's give me the wrong bar to give to Grekal for the next part, or what? Just for the heck of it, I also tried giving Grekal the bar WITH first one crest, and the the other, but the same thing happens (gives me the quest I already completed) and he gives both back. Am I missing something here?
 
Grekal should tell you who to take the potion and bar to when you hand in the ingredients for the potion.

Hmm. I must have given him the wrong crest. I still have extra items in my inventory from previous quests I'm fairly sure I no longer need.

But anyway, I tried this again, and things worked out.
