Grobb SK quest - NEC guild portion

I was doing the SK quest in Grobb that requires you to complete several tests are different guilds within Grobb. I am now at the Necromancer guild, and have spoken with the NPC "x... Coldwind" (can't remember the entire name). She gave me the quest, but I can't remember everything she needed. I think it was a hide off an escaped tiger and the essense of a drowned corpse... but I can't remember anything else. I tried rehailing her, as I've noticed sometimes the NPC's remind you what you need, but nothing.

The info I think was on the old wiki... but no dice on the new one. Does anyone know off-hand what needs to be done?

Undead Essence of a Drowned Soul (Human guy that spawns not far from the zone in to S. Wastes of Tarhyl)

Thanks very much! I sure as hell hope that is not the uber-rare "leech blood" I need for the other quest ; ) I actually think I have some of those - *SWOON*

And I was killing bloated corpses, hoping something would be found there - while looking for giant leeches (what else?) - and this guy has killed me about 4 times now. I was getting suspicious, heh. So I know who you mean = )

Your quite welcome!! And just to answer a couple of your other questions, no it's not the highly sought after and illusive "leech blood." It only drops off of Giant Leeches and is a bit uncommon, but no where as bad as "leech blood."
And yes, that guy is a pisser, I barely managed to take him down when he conned yellow to me, and that was just because I accidently pulled him while searching for Giant Leeches. Prior to that I had been killing Bloated Corpses too. And OMG, share those Leech Bloods!!!

Ahh - I have no leech bloods, just the ichor's (as they are now called? ; ) ) - but if you need any of those, I'm pretty sure I have some extras. Just let me know!

OK - this is insane.

Apparently the ichor I have from leeches is not the right item. I have the essence from the waterlogged ghoul and the tiger skull, and ichor from leeches. Either there is a second type of ichor I do not have, it REALLY wants that damned "leech blood" I have yet to ever see, or it is broken.

If there is yet another type of ichor or blood-type substance from leeches I have never seen, I am going to suggest NOT having 3 items with the same visual icons and very similar names drop from the same mobs.

I am also going to suggest that this is probably broken instead somehow - some way. This just doesn't make sense.

*sigh*

Oh well.

Well, I finally got an honest to goodness "Leech Blood" item from a giant leech today - and there was much rejoicing!

But I went to Ms. Coldwind here with the Tiger Skull from an escaped tiger and a Weak Undead Soul from a Waterlogged Ghoul and the leech blood. I handed the three to her, but they were all returned. In re-reading this thread, I might not need to "Leech Blood" for this quest, so I tried 2 other drops from leeches with the skull and weak soul drops. I tried a "Black Ichor" and a "Leech Sucker Ichor" in place of the "Leech Blood" also. But Ms. Coldwind hands everything back to me no matter what.

I have been unable to get her to re-say what items are needed for the quest, and I'd re-roll a new character to find out, but they'd have to go through a chain of other quests until they actually got to this one again. Does anyone know the trigger phrase for Ms. Coldwind to give you the quest again? Am I just missing something obvious here?

Also, I'm pretty sure the name on the "Black Ichor" was changed from something like "Black Giant Leech Ichor" or something... I could be crazy, but if it was changed, is this quest now working with the changes? Just throwing this out there.

I think its the other way around, the "Black Giant Leech Ichor" has just been changed to "Black Ichor". It was dropping as a purple, stackable vial from the giant leeches. The giant leech drop is the one you need for the necro portion of the quest.

Hang on the the 'real' leech blood though, very rare...

So I need to hand in the skull and the essense and the "Black Ichor" to Ms. Coldwind, and that should do it? No container or anything that I remember, so I guess just plain handing it in should work? I thought I tried, but I'll try again, maybe I missed something.

Oh, and ya - I agree on the Blood. I just need to find one more for the corpsescounger's pack quest - if I ever find it ; )

I think so...sorry, brain farted and can't remember...and I just did the quest last week :p

If that doesn't work hand in the Bar of cold metal or whatever your SK guildmaster gave you to give her to first initiate the quest as well as the other components.
