Hello, I found out about this server through a friend of mine, and I don't know how he found it, probably just through surfing the net. I used to play EQ for about 5 years when it first came out on live. I had a level 65 iksar monk named Xars Venomblood. I really liked the lore of the original game, and the roleplaying, it was what allured me to the game, as well as the adventure of exploring new places, to look for more information, and uncover more peices of the history of my race and things of that sort. After EQ got more into the raiding, and the huge guilds that had far to many requirments, it seemed like you couldn't do anything unless you were in one of those guilds. I stopped playing, becuase the fun of the old game had gone, and now there was just all of the requirements you had to meet, you couldn't just play and have fun.
Now with this server, I noticed a lot of that has been taken out, and the old zones have been brought back, with a new twist, and all of the lore has been changed, so now the feel of the old game has been brought back. So I really enjoy playing on this server. I currently have recreated my character, his name is Xars, and he is an iksar monk. so I guess I will see you down there.
