My name is Timdog, I played "The Game" from 99' till 03'.(with a few breaks between) I had a level 65 wizard on the Brell Serilis sever and was in an actively raiding guild for the majority of my playing time. I met some great people along the way including some in RL. I tried some other MMORPGs that just didn't cut it.
I was introduced to SoD through some ex-guildmates and I think it's fantastic. I've been playing for a few days and have read up on a lot of the lore and I think it is a well thought out design and storyline. I also like a lot of the changes from "live". I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and maybe even some old friends.
