Hey,
I'm new here, was a fan of the old EQ and heard about this so I figured I'd give it a try. Hope to see you all in game, any suggestions on race/class combos?
 
are iksar enemies with all other races? From what i've read on the forums, it seems they pwned all the other races. What is the faction setup here?
 
Iksar don't start KoS to anyone. At the worst they're dubious which just makes selling a hassle, and they start in the best newbie zone(if you can handle the difficulty).

If your a class that can be an iksar you have no excuse to not be one
 
Yeah Iksar are pretty awesome, just a faction hassle to deal with but that can be done over time and isn't too detrimental to you. But just go ahead and use what you like to see really, every race can pull of a class, just some not as well.
 
The deal with iksar is that some merchants won't sell to you, but that's about it. An illusion, faction work, or just going to a different town can fix this.

Nobody is KOS in cities by default except non ogre/troll/iksar in Grobb.
 
I know my Dark Elf Shadowknight is KoS in Halas, and I don't recall doing anything to piss off thier faction. But yeah, most of the time no one is really KoS anywhere they need to go. And you can easily get around any restriction by taking a little more time.
 
SKs and Necros are KoS in some places due to being really evil, and clerics and paladins aren't welcome in necro hangouts either, forgot to mention that.
