Hey there peoples.
Just started up on SoD a couple days ago trying to catch a buzz from the nostalgia and I certainly did! I've really missed an MMO that has a decent level of complexity to it.
So far the community has been pretty excellent in the Beginner's guild, and I think that I will be sticking around for some time. Testing the waters to see if I want to get serious or not again.

Been spending a lot of time on Ensathar, the DEF SK I started to have a character to jam around on. It was fun getting him to 10, but soloing is kinda dull, and Stinger's Bog is pretty sparse. Any suggestions on a place to hightail it towards for a more enjoyable leveling experience? I know the levels have been reconfigured as far as level spread and rearranged in how they connect, so all my previous info is likely sorely outdated.

In fact I'll take any suggestions on fun things to try out in SoD - races, classes, unique quests, anything fun. Looking forward to recapturing the spirit of adventure and exploration that made the first two years after the original game went live so much fun.

Blackburrow is your traintastic friend at that level. Find a group and go to town. And I'd recommend picking up a healer to box with your sk will make your life a lot easier.

Aye if you are not always up for a group (which really is the best way to exp) and are not adverse to boxing rolling a healer toon to two box with might be your best bet.

As far as groups go, Blackburrow and the Warrens are both great - and if you feel ballsy in the next 3-4 levels I highly recommend runnyeye.

Runnyeye was one of the best experiences I ever had playing this game. some guildmates and I took a bunch of alts to runnyeye (this was with little to no twinking, mind you) and the xp is just insane but the zone is actually pretty difficult for the level.

What they all said. Yup.

Although Newport sewers can still yield something for you. And the xp turn-ins to the NP guard will help with xp and NP faction. Just don't venture too close the pally and cleric guild. Unless you're like me and you get some morbid kick out of death from stupidity.

I'm not sure what level you are now, but in the low teens - high teens, excellent experience can also be gotten in Fearstone Keep (Once Crushbone). If you can manage to kill the scavenger guy, he drops the "old letter" needed later in the Main Quest as well. Another good choice in the mid to high teens is Shrouded Isle (once Unrest), it's located near Erudin, and is off of Mistwoods (once Toxxulia Forest).

Hidden Temple of Yaralith is another zone I highly recommend in the low to high 20's as well. Plenty of mobs, and the first place I can remember actually getting some decent drops/plat.

Hope this helps a little bit.
