When I log on my second character (as in, the first one is already logged in normally, then I open up another SoD patcher to start EQ to log in and whatnot) the interface is replaced with coloured squares on the second character that was logged in. Instead of seeing someone's name and guild for example, there will be blue squares replacing it, or white squares replacing all the interface windows (group window, target window, etc). This ONLY happens whenever I log in a second character, and it only effects the second character. (If you need any more info let me know and i'll edit my thread.)
