To start off, I tried using the http://forum.shardsofdalaya.com/showthread.php?t=17025

fix, for the 3d ring (which i had, i COULD see the 3d target ring from the start)
the reason i tried using this page is because i read that the first person tearing glitch could be fixed, that was my ONLY problem... anywho, i tried following those directions and the fix didnt work, so i deleted the files i downloaded and created. Started the game up and found more issues than i started with.... I can no longer see the Tornado effect, as well as i can no longer see the spell effects on other players, for example, i cannot see the spell effect of prickers, or briors around the character i cast Shield of Thorns on, where as i CAN see the effect on myself, this is a consistant problem.
If we can't solve it I suppose ill just try a fresh install of the game, and yes i Repatched all if i didnt state that.

I will give as much info as i CAN on my PC

In game options menu > Display tab > Under spell particles, make sure your density is set to either low/med/high, under "on for" select "all spells," and finally make sure the opacity slider is set to a reasonable percentage.

Unless you deleted any files other than the .bat file needed for 3dAnalyzer, this problem shouldn't be a result from using that program. The fresh install you did should rule that out.

Thanks for the Tip, Density is on high as it used to be and under "on for" all spells is selected, though once i click it, it doesnt pop up, though i do click it. Opacity Slider is at 100% which is correct as far as i know... thanks hikage. any other ideas?

The "on for" box has never displayed it's selected value to me, I think it's a bug with the current client. However when I open the drop down box it does show my current setting highlighted in red.

Double check to make sure your "Near Clip" is set to farthest, under spell effects.

You can try /showspelleffects on, but even if yours is set to off, I don't think it would affect the Mansion portal tornado effects. You also wouldn't be able to see spells cast on yourself.

If you can see particle effects when casting spells on yourself, but not other players, you have the files for particle effects, but there's a setting, or something preventing you from seeing world effects and stuff cast on others.
