So I was in Kaladim B working on some xp a few days ago and these dropped:

I know global loot is not supposed to be OMG AMAZING but these seem like a typo or something. Is the AC missing a digit? I'm thinking with a rec. level of 45 these should maybe have been an AC13 or something. Not good enough I would wear them still, but for those who may get them on an untwinked toon in their 40's, I think maybe they should be looked at.

AC does seem a bit low, but then again, maybe the AC is low to balance out the fact that the proc rate on the boots is an insane 33.3%. Hell, I'd be happy taking an AC hit for my gear to proc like that.

They're not amazing but droppable loot has definitely skewed expectations of what kind of stats an item should have in the pre-65 game. They're about in-line with what an untwinked monk could obtain for himself at that level from questing or similar. Whether new items should adhere to the curve of new droppables or old questables? Well, that's a good question.

I just don't think they're in line with the rest of the Ekrod items on the global loot list. Same rec levels, the other items just all seem better. The proc rate is pretty good on those shoes, but the effect is only 20dd. I just find them lacking especially when the option to quest for the Thurgadin shoes is available to monks around the same level.

Anyway, that's all I really wanted to throw out there. Thanks Rorne and Daenar for taking the time to respond. I don't know if I posted when global loots went in but I think they're a really cool idea.
